FIFA Pass — Frequently Asked Questions

Everything FIFA Collect users need to know about the FIFA Priority Appointment Scheduling System (FIFA PASS)

As a FIFA Collect user, you may be eligible to receive a FIFA PASS key, giving you access to a priority visa interview appointment to attend the FIFA World Cup 2026™ in the United States. This page explains what the FIFA PASS is, how it works, and what it means for you as a FIFA Collect user.

1. WHAT IS FIFA PASS?

What is the FIFA PASS?

The FIFA Priority Appointment Scheduling System (FIFA PASS) is a voluntary, opt-in service created by FIFA in collaboration with the U.S. Department of State. It allows FIFA World Cup 2026™ ticket holders who need a U.S. visa to schedule a priority interview appointment before the tournament begins — ahead of regular applicants who may face long wait times.

Why was FIFA PASS created?

Standard U.S. visa interview wait times can stretch for months in many countries. With millions of international fans expected to travel to the United States for the World Cup (which kicks off on 11 June 2026), FIFA PASS was designed to ensure that genuine ticket holders have a fair opportunity to secure an interview appointment in time for the tournament.

Does FIFA PASS guarantee that my visa will be approved?

No. FIFA PASS only gives you priority access to schedule a visa interview — it does not guarantee that your visa will be issued. Like all applicants, you will still need to complete the standard U.S. visa process, attend your interview, pass security screening, and demonstrate that you qualify for a visa under U.S. immigration law.

Do I need FIFA PASS if I have a valid U.S. visa or travel via ESTA?

No. If you already hold a valid U.S. visa, or if your country participates in the U.S. Visa Waiver Programme (ESTA), you do not need FIFA PASS. ESTA travellers can apply for their travel authorisation directly online. You can check whether your country is ESTA-eligible and current visa wait times at the links below.

Can the family of a ticket holder use FIFA PASS to make an appointment, even if the family members do not have tickets for a match?

FIFA PASS appointments are available for spouses and minor children of World Cup 2026™ ticketholders, but only if they are accompanying the World Cup 2026™ ticketholder to the ticketholder’s interview.

2. FIFA PASS FOR FIFA COLLECT USERS

How can FIFA Collect users access the FIFA PASS?

FIFA Collect is making FIFA PASS keys available to its eligible users. To receive a key, you must meet both of the following conditions:

  • Hold a Right-to-Ticket (RTT) on the FIFA Collect platform
  • Hold a valid ID from one of the countries eligible to obtain a FIFA Pass

If you meet these criteria, you will be able to request your key through a dedicated form on FIFA Collect. Each eligible user may request a maximum of one FIFA PASS token per RTT.

Please note, you will be able to request FIFA PASS during the conversion process, which will take place in the first half of May.

In special cases where a FIFA PASS is needed urgently, we may be able to support an expedited request through Customer Service ([email protected]). If this applies to you, please contact Customer Service explaining the reason for your expedited request and attach the IDs of the individuals requiring the FIFA PASS. Requests will be reviewed and addressed if the eligibility criteria are met.

Once you receive your key, follow the steps in Section 3 below.

What if I have an RTT but my plans change and I end up selling my ticket?

We understand that plans change. You are free to trade or sell your RTT on the FIFA Collect secondary market even after receiving a FIFA PASS key. If your travel plans change after obtaining a visa through FIFA PASS, you are still eligible to keep your visa — the visa is tied to you as a person, not to the specific ticket. For more details, see the official U.S. State Department FIFA PASS FAQ page.

Note: Receiving a FIFA PASS key does not obligate you to attend the FIFA World Cup™, nor does selling your RTT invalidate any visa you may obtain through the FIFA PASS process.

3. HOW TO USE YOUR FIFA PASS KEY — STEP BY STEP

Once you have received your FIFA PASS key from FIFA Collect, here is what to do:

Step 1 — Opt in via your FIFA.com account

Log into your FIFA.com account and use your FIFA PASS key to access and submit the FIFA PASS opt-in form. Make sure the personal details you enter match exactly what you will use for your visa application.

Step 2 — Complete your U.S. visa application (you can get started here)

Select your country of nationality or residence where you’ll be applying; Fill out the DS-160 online visa application form, upload a current photo, and pay the visa application fee.

Step 3 — Schedule your visa interview

Schedule your visa interview appointment. If asked if you’re a FIFA ticket holder, be sure to answer “Yes.”  If the information you entered in the FIFA PASS opt in form matches your visa application information, you’ll get access to a FIFA PASS Appointment.

Scheduling an interview appointment via FIFA PASS does not guarantee the visa will be issued. Like all visa applicants, ticket holders must undergo thorough screening and must demonstrate they qualify for a visa.
