Football’s history is celebrated by the inclusion of the date FIFA was founded in Paris, France. The Fédération Internationale de Football Association was established by representatives from eight nations at the Rue Saint Honoré 229 on 21 May 1904. The body, under its first President, Robert Guérin, was created to oversee the development of football around the world.
