At FIFA Collect, your security and the integrity of our platform are top priorities. That’s why we ask all users to complete a quick identity verification process, known as KYC (Know Your Customer). This helps us meet regulatory requirements and ensures a safe environment for every fan.
Why Do I Need to Verify My Identity?
Completing KYC unlocks the full FIFA Collect experience. Without it, you may be unable to:
- Buy packs or make purchases on the Marketplace
- List your collectibles for sale
- Join certain drops or access exclusive offers
- Use your full account balance
Verifying your identity helps protect your account from unauthorized activity and ensures a smooth experience on the platform.
How to Complete Your KYC Verification
We use Onfido, a trusted partner, to make identity checks quick and secure. Here’s how to get verified:
- Click your username at the top-right of the FIFA Collect homepage.
- Go to My Profile → My Verification.
- Scroll down and select Edit Applicant Details.
- You’ll be redirected to Onfido. Follow the instructions to upload your ID (passport, driver’s license, or ID card).
- Once your documents are reviewed and approved, your KYC status will update automatically.
How Long Does It Take?
Most KYC checks are completed quickly—often within a few minutes. If we need more information, we’ll let you know. For the fastest approval, make sure your documents are:
- Valid and not expired
- Clear and readable (no glare, all edges visible)
- Matching your details exactly (name, date of birth, address where applicable)
What If My KYC Isn’t Approved?
If your verification isn’t successful:
- Double-check your details: Ensure your personal information matches your ID exactly.
- Review your document quality: Confirm your ID is valid and the image is clear, with no glare or blur.
- Try again or contact support: Repeat the process or reach out to our support team for help.
