RTB and Conversion Process
As we approach the launch of the RTB Conversion Window, we want to ensure every FIFA Collect fan clearly understands the process of turning their Right-to-Buy (RTB) into a Right-to-Ticket (RTT) — and eventually, into their official FIFA World Cup 26™ ticket.
Below you’ll find answers to the most common questions regarding timing, eligibility, payment, categories, and other key details about the conversion journey.
1. What is a Right-to-Buy (RTB)
An RTB is a guaranteed right to buy a ticket for a specific match. Fans can get a RTB either with straight purchase or via gamification and challenges. RTBs are NOT tickets and they are shown as normal collectibles and, as such, they can be traded between fans in the FIFA Collect Marketplace.
How does a RTB work?
Users enter FIFA Collect (collect.fifa.com) and buy packs of collectibles with RTB opportunities included. RTB owners will be able to pay and receive their FIFA World Cup 26™ tickets during the Conversion Window beginning on November 13th at 5PM CET.
2. RTB Conversion Schedule
When will the RTB conversion window start, and how long will it last?
The RTB conversion window begins on November 13th 2025 at 5PM CET, and ends on December 1st, at 5PM CET. A 2-week notice has been given prior to kick-off. The total duration of the conversion window is 18 days.
Please note: RTBs will remain tradable until December 1st, after which they will become untradable but continue to hold their collectible value.

*A special Top 30 Badge will be airdropped before Phase 2 to the leaderboard winners, based on the ranking at 4PM CET on November 13th. To access this phase as a Top 30, you will need to open the airdropped pack, for which you will receive an email notification.
Please Note: The conversion window closes on December 1st at 5PM CET. After this date, you will NOT be able to convert your RTB into a ticket. An RTB that is not converted by the December 1st deadline will lose all ticket-related value and will no longer be convertible to a ticket. Should it not be converted/burnt, it will continue to serve as a collectible.
Will there be another conversion opportunity later on?
Current RTB holders can convert their RTB’s until December 1st. There may be further issuance of RTBs after the conversion window kick-off. Should that be the case, a new conversion window(s) will be created specifically for those newly issued RTBs and communicated.
3. What is a Right-to-Ticket (RTT)
What is a Right-to-Ticket?
A Right-to-Ticket collectible is your right to claim an official FIFA World Cup 26™ ticket to attend the match specified on it. These collectibles can be acquired in a dedicated Right-to-Buy conversion window.
Right-to-Tickets will be airdropped to users in the form of a non-giftable pack.
Can Right-to-Tickets be traded?
Right-to-Tickets will be tradable on the FIFA Collect Marketplace with a 15% resale fee. Trading will start on the 19th of November, 3 days after the adjusted phase 1 date.
Trading restrictions apply to Mexican residents, who will be able to trade their RTTs for the same primary value these collectibles were sold for.
When and how will Right-to-Tickets be converted into final FIFA tournament tickets?
In May/June holders of Right-to-Tickets will be able to convert them into actual tickets which will be issued in the FIFA tournament app as per previous tournaments. These tickets will be holdable and transferable in compliance with FIFA ticketing rules. The assignee's email will not need to match the NFT holder's FIFA Collect account email. Once a ticket has been assigned to an email address, it can no longer be reversed. Conversion of a RTT after the above time window will not be possible, the responsibility for the timely conversion lies with the user. Should it not be converted/burnt, RTTs will continue to serve as a Collectible.
What’s the difference between transferable and tradable tickets?
Final tickets will be transferable according to rules set by FIFA ticketing. These tickets will NOT be tradable on FIFA ticketing marketplace. The same restriction on tradability applies also to Right-to-Tickets as these are not tradable on the FIFA ticketing marketplace.
4. How does RTB Conversion Work?
How can fans convert their RTBs into Right-to-Tickets?
Fans will be able to convert their RTB(s) into Right-to-Ticket(s) within a dedicated conversion page.
What is required to complete a conversion?
A few steps are required in order to be able to convert a RTB convertible into a RTT.
- RTB Burn Requirement: Before being able to convert, RTB holders will need to burn their RTBs. This can be done during the conversion process or prior to it, as burnt RTBs will be detected by the system and eligible for conversion regardless of when they were burnt.
- Ticket Category Selection: Within the conversion page, multiple ticket categories may be selected (Category 1, 2, or 3) – according to availability for the specific match.
Early access can be crucial for securing desired categories for specific matches. - Multiple Conversions: RTB collectible holders will be able to convert multiple RTBs in the same session, including for different games. Multiple ticket categories can also be selected in one session as long as inventory is available.
Important: there will be a time limit for each session. Exceeding it will result in having to restart the process. - Payment Window: After burning the RTB collectible(s) and selecting the category(s), in order to obtain the Right-to-Ticket collectible, full payment of the connected ticket(s) value is required. There will be a 5 minute window within which to complete the transaction, so it is strongly advised to ensure the desired payment method is ready.
What payment methods can be used for conversion?
Payment options will be credit card and USDC. We may be able to add a few additional payment options, if that happens, we will add them in due course and notify the community.
How will Right-to-Tickets be issued?
Right-to-Tickets will be issued as a single unit via airdrop, meaning that the conversion of a group phase RTB (generally valid for 2 tickets) will trigger the issuance of two Right-to-Tickets. This is done to improve clarity and tradability as single units.
Once the conversion process is completed, a confirmation email will be sent with all key details.
5. Seating, Categories and Pricing
When will seating preferences be handled, and can groups sit together?
Seating preference will be addressed at issuance of final tickets, we are already working with ticketing to be able to address preference, and we will also be adding a special access category. This will be set up in a way that can accommodate groups larger than 4. Seating preferences will be addressed within FIFA Collect allocation, we do not have control over VISA Pre-sale draw tickets seat assignment.
Which ticket categories are available for conversion?
CAT1 and CAT2 are available, and in limited cases also CAT3. This depends very much on the stadium configuration and the allocation received. The distribution across categories is CAT1 70%, CAT2 28%, and CAT3 2%. Category inventory availability will be visible when you are picking the category for your RTB conversion.
How will ticket pricing work for FIFA Collect users?
Ticket prices have been locked in collaboration with FIFA Ticketing and will remain fixed for the entire conversion period, regardless of phases or the number of conversions — meaning no dynamic pricing will apply. Prices are aligned with those offered in the current FIFA sales windows. They will be visible only to holders of the Right-to-Buy (RTB) for each specific match, as the full price list cannot be published. Important: prices will be visible in the conversion page BEFORE burning your RTB. This enables you to make an informed decision based on pricing.
How many tickets can users hold or convert?
There is no limit for Right-to-Tickets holding, nevertheless each email selected for ticket conversion will need to comply with FIFA ticketing guidelines when it comes to the conversion of these Right-to-Tickets into actual tickets. Limitations are maximum of four tickets per household for each match, and no more than 40 tickets in total for the entire FIFA World Cup 26™.
